Day 18 - Hello Berlin!
06.07.2019
20 °C
It was time to say goodbye to Salzburg, and move onto Berlin.
We had an easy morning packing our bags and tidying the place ready to check out. At just before 12.30pm our shuttle arrived to take us to the airport. The ones in Rome seem to be better than the ones in Italy, instead of arriving 40 minutes late, they arrived early!
We arrived at the airport, checked in our bags and then grabbed some lunch. At around 2.20pm we boarded our plane for Berlin, Germany.

The plane ride was ok apart from Titus being upset. The descent into Berlin was definitely worse than any Windy Wellington flight Ali had experienced. It was so windy that we were surprised no one got sick.

Once in Berlin, we caught a taxi to our new place. On the way, there was mostly open fields.

We were shown around the house and then we got settled in.
We walked about five minutes to the grocery store, and we immediately noticed the difference to all the other European countries we had been in - it was really cold! We bought some groceries and then Ali cooked dinner.
This is the only place we stayed at with a pool and the girls really wanted to go in, but as it was late, they had to settle for a bath instead in the giant bath tub.

After that we all went to bed.
